The Journey
The Side Quest Begins
Bookly started as a humble side project. Built over a few weekends, it was a simple HTML page designed to help a small group of peers find textbooks easily without hitting paywalls or dealing with sketchy ad-filled download sites.
Expanding the Library
As word spread, the demand grew. We expanded the catalog to include over 15+ official NCERT curriculums, spanning Mathematics, Science, and English for middle and high school students across multiple regions.
The Modern Hub Rebirth
Realizing the potential to help thousands more, Bookly was completely architected. We migrated to a dynamic JSON database, integrated a native in-browser PDF reader, and built personalized study playlists—transforming a simple webpage into a fully-fledged web application.
